Yes. Horses treated with Equi-N-icE bandage have been consistently blood and urine tested whilst using this product, under Jockey Club rules. Equiplus were asked to supply Equi-N-icE to the British Team and Equiplus are delighted to oblige.
Can we use Equi-N-icE with any bandage?
No you cannot. Our bandage is made from special 100% undyed cotton, which has its own natural elasticity so compression can be applied during application.
Can I safely leave the bandage on for more than two hours? Yes, the bandage will eventually dry out and a cotton support bandage can be safely left on, if secured, overnight.
Can I wash the Equi- N-icE bandage? Yes you can. Wash it as you would a normal cotton bandage, in a warm wash
How long will Equi-N-icE last? In its sealed packet, Equi-N-icE™ will last indefinitely, making it an ideal choice for First Aid care
Why are there no ties to secure the Equi-N-icE bandage? Equi-N-icE™ is widely used in the veterinary market, distributed by Arnold's Ltd., and therefore used in the immediate treatment of tendon injury so no pressure point must be present. Can I cover the Equi-N-icE bandage? No, because Equi-N-icE™ works by rapid evaporation any covering is counter-productive. A travelling boot can be placed over the bandage after the tendon has effectively been cooled, the bandage will carry on as a support.
